Captain
So far the night has been uneventful sitting in the bridge just reading my book and taking the occasional look out into the vast dark emptiness of the Pacific Ocean. We took off from Russia 2 days ago and everything seems to be going good until I get a radio transmission from a boat about 7 miles ahead of us reporting huge swells and a massive storm on their radar. I run over to our radar system and extend the distance out to about 10 miles and see a huge storm approaching from almost every direction. I run into the cabin and wake up my first mate Jacob and tell him to wake up everyone on the boat and to tie down everything to avoid damage. The owner of the boat comes running into the bridge as im attempting to radio the boat and asks what is going on, I tell him that we are going to have to go into this storm, there is no out running it and we should go prepare for the worst. That is the last time I ever see Fredrick one of my best friends. After he leaves the waves start to get noticeably bigger with every swell until it feels like a roller coaster, I see a huge wave in the distance as it approaches we barely make it half way up before it starts coming down on top of the boat. I decide to call a abandon ship and broadcast it throughout the boat. I can see my first mate leading a group of people to the side of the ship to the life rafts, I call a mayday over my radio system giving them my last known coordinates not knowing if anyone is even listening then head out onto the stair way down to the life rafts, I get to the bottom of the steps and see the biggest wave yet approaching I do not know if I will be able to survive this wave but I manage to get inside as the wave hits, the glass shatters as water rushes into the room. I can feel the boat tilting side ways and I know it is only going to take one more wave before this boat is sinking to the bottom of the ocean, I start praying for a miracle as I feel the boat rise onto the next wave and turn completely upside down.
First Mate
I don't know how long i have been asleep when the Captain is leaning over me yelling at me to get up he says there is a storm approaching and he needs my help. I quickly get up and hurry out onto the bridge to find the Captain on the radio talking to another boat that is already in the storm, he tells me to go wake up all of the crew and passengers and tie down all objects to avoid damage to the boat. I rush out side and down the stairs into the lower cabin and grab the blow horn the crew knows what this means and after a couple of seconds everyone is in the hallway ready for instructions. I tell them that a storm is approaching and we have to tie down everything on the boat, everyone knows what their jobs are in this situation and the quickly run around the boat completing certain tasks. I go downstairs to the passengers and wake them up they all start to get very worried and it is almost impossible to calm down all these people. I tell them to follow me up into the cabin on the deck in case we have to make a quick run for the life rafts. When we reach the deck I see the Yellow spinning light in each room and know that it means we need to abandon ship I open the main door and rain hits us going almost completely sideways everyone is still following me and I lead them to the lift rafts as the first person gets onto a raft a wave hits and sends it flying into the air, the wave takes everyone off their feet and throws us into the side of the cabin a few people get knocked out and I make one last attempt the get a life boat over the edge but the boat is tilted to far and I slide back into the side of the cabin. All i can do is watch as the biggest wave I have ever seen in my life soaring probably 25 feet over my head comes crashing down on top of us.
John
My room is pitch black and completely quiet, but I can hear people on the level above me walking around which is unusual for this time of night. I start to wonder what could be going on and then i hear the heavy medal door at the end of our hallway open up and a loud horn start to go off, I run over to my door and open it to find the first mate yelling, telling everyone one that we are heading into a storm and need to move to the main level of the ship. I run into my room and change into my heavy rain gear not knowing how long I will be on the main level or if I will be out in the rain helping the crew. I start to make my way up stairs following the rest of the people, most of them look worried and unsure of what is going on. When I get to the main level it is a complete zoo, people are running every which way trying to tie down all the lose items and directing people to a safe area. I find my friend Mark, one the crew members i meet on my first day on the ship and ask him if there is anything i can do to help, he says that they are almost done outside and I should get everyone inside and tell them everything will be fine. When i get inside i realize the swells are getting a lot bigger, then i see the yellow lights come on a know that we are going to have to ditch the ship. I go to open the door and Mark runs by telling me to follow him, we get to the life rafts and start to help people on but a wave hits the side of the boat and throws a life raft out into open ocean with only one person on board. When the next wave hits it takes Matt and I over board and throws us into open ocean, by the time my head is above water I have lost sight of Matt and a can only see the distant lights from the boat and I watch as it becomes over taken by a wave. I don't know where that life raft went and the water is freezing cold, my rain gear is helping a bit but eventually it will do no good and I will die alone in the middle of the ocean.
