Survival Terms
1. Survivor - A person who has survives, especially a person remaining alive after others have died
2. Shelter - A place giving temporary shelter from bad weather or other danger 3. Bridge - The elevated and enclosed area on a ship where the captain and officers conduct operations 4. Life Raft - A raft that is inflatable and used for emergency situation out at sea 5. Abandon Ship - To leave a ship because it is sinking 6. SOS - A international code used for extreme distress, used mainly by ships at sea 7. Mayday - A international radio distress signal used by ships 8. Purification - The removal of contaminates from a substance 9. Swell - A slow, regular movement of the sea in rolling waves that do not break 10. Scavenging - Searching for a collecting anything usable from discarded waste |
